Last season, the Premier League announced TV fixtures for the first two months of the campaign on July 5.

Pep Guardiola’s City side will end the season with a home clash against West Ham, while Arsenal host Everton.

The standout fixture of the final weekend of the season will see Brighton host Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

First TV fixture moves announced

The Premier League and domestic broadcasters Sky and TNT (formerly BT Sport) today announced the first batch of TV fixture moves covering August and September (the first weekend of the season had already been announced).

Fulham will have a rare and unexpected run of six Saturday 3pm games to start the season, with the first match picked for TV not until Monday 2nd October at home to Chelsea. This lets us all start making plans and, hopefully, identify cheaper travel options.

As ever, the Trust’s Colour Coded Fixture List will track the moves and identify the risk of future fixture changes.

It’s not just TV picks that will affect our fixtures; European competitions are likely to have a big impact, especially from October to December where we have five matches which fall either immediately before or after our opponents’ midweek European games. Those that are almost certain to move include the away games at Brighton, Villa and Liverpool which all follow Europa League or Europa Conference League games that take place on a Thursday; the most likely outcome for these is a move to the Sunday unless they are shifted further for TV.

Our matches at home to Manchester United and away to Newcastle also fall close to their respecitve Champions League games, although this is more likely to impact the League fixtures should they also be picked for TV.

Both clashes are expected to be picked up for TV coverage, with Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime once again the rights holders for the competition.

However, fans will have to wait a little while longer until the TV schedule for the opening weeks is revealed.

BT Sport will make their TV selections for August and September on Monday, July 5 and are set to continue covering the early kick-offs on a Saturday as part of the 52 live matches they are contracted to show exclusively in the UK.

Sky Sports have not shared an official date for when their TV fixtures will be announced but it’s likely to come around the same time as BT.

Three of Manchester United’s Premier League games across the months of August and September have been rescheduled, as a result of being picked for live TV.

Our competition opener at home to Wolves on Monday 14 August (20:00 BST kick-off) was already set in stone following the initial fixtures announcement in June.

And now, the make-up of the first two months in our league season has become clearer, with the league confirming the latest broadcast picks.

United’s three away matches in the Premier League during the aforementioned period – at Tottenham, Arsenal and Burnley – have all been moved and will be shown live on television in the UK.

The first of those comes less than a week after we kick off the campaign at home to Wolves, when we travel to Spurs on Saturday 19 August. The date for that match will stay the same as initially billed, but will now kick off at 17:30 BST and be broadcast on Sky Sports.

On the first weekend of September, our clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium will also be shown on Sky, and has been changed from Saturday 2 to Sunday 3, with a 16:30 BST start time.

Later in the month, we’ll head to Turf Moor to face newly promoted Burnley, for a meeting that remains in the diary for Saturday 23 September. However, this will now be an evening encounter (20:00 BST KO), with supporters able to watch on TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport).

While each of our away games across this period have been adjusted, our three Old Trafford outings that follow the Wolves opener – against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Crystal Palace – all remain as Saturday 15:00 BST kick-offs and will therefore not be live on TV in the UK.
