Who Sponsors Manchester United ? Man Utd Global Partners & Sponsors

Who sponsors manchester united ? Manchester United have agreed a deal with U.S. technology company Qualcomm that will see its Snapdragon brand replace the TeamViewer logo as their shirt sponsor from next season, the Premier League club said.

The club did not reveal the financial details of the deal but a source has told ESPN the deal is worth £60 million ($75m) per year.

United signed a five-year deal with German tech firm TeamViewer in 2021 to be their principal shirt sponsor, replacing Chevrolet.

However, United said in December that they had reached a “mutually-beneficial agreement” with TeamViewer giving the club the option of buying back the rights to its shirt front sponsorship.

It added that it would undertake a focused sales process in a “normalised market,” having agreed the TeamViewer deal at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Manchester United has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the front of the club’s famous shirt,” United said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Qualcomm Technologies is already a global partner of Manchester United, promoting its Snapdragon brand.

“Under the expanded agreement, Snapdragon will become Manchester United’s front-of-shirt partner from the start of the 2024-25 season, featuring on the home, away and third kits of the men’s and women’s teams.”

United signed a £900m deal with Adidas in July, renewing their partnership with its official kit supplier for 10 more years.

United will wear the Snapdragon logo on their home, away and third shirts from the 2024/2025 campaign. A deal has been struck-up to cover the men’s and women’s teams.

Qualcomm Technologies has an existing partnership with the Premier League giants. However, that collaboration has now been ramped-up even further.

United are currently sponsored by TeamViewer. Their shirts have paraded that particular logo since the 2021/2022 season, with DXC Technology replacing Kohler as sleeve sponsors last term.

A short press release from MUFC read: “Manchester United PLC has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the club’s famous shirts.”

Qualcomm Snapdragon was established in November 2007 and its renowned processors power premium products from the world’s biggest brands across smartphones, PCs, extended reality glasses, gaming devices, wearables, and connected cars.

United have been putting important plans together behind-the-scenes during the season’s first international break and the sponsorship announcement is an extension of that. As reported, the club are, provisionally, hoping to make four key signings next summer after bringing in seven players this summer.

Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund were signed for £183million combined. They were then followed through the door by Altay Bayindir, Jonny Evans, Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat on deadline day as the club, initially, look to strengthen up at full-back, centre-back, central midfield and in attacking quarters.

Man Utd announce new lucrative shirt sponsor after ‘appalling’ deal fell through

Manchester United have secured a lucrative new sponsorship deal with American technology company Snapdragon.

For the past two years, the club have had TeamViewer on the front of their home and away shirts, after the Germany-based software firm signed a five-year deal worth £47million per year. That development came after TeamViewer was put under intense pressure from shareholders, who were angered by what they viewed as an extortionate financial commitment in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. Indeed, Petrus Advisers, who have a 3 per cent stake in TeamViewer, wrote a letter criticising the “appalling judgement” of the company, and demanded they reneged on the deal.

“We demand that you stop bleeding millions and rapidly disengage from this mess,” the letter read. “We therefore demand that you enter professional exit discussions with a clear goal of a quick solution and that you do it immediately.”

The club have been since been in talks with Snapdragon and on Tuesday, a report on Business Wire confirmed: “Manchester United plc has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the front of the club’s famous shirt.

“Qualcomm Technologies is already a global partner of Manchester United, promoting its Snapdragon brand. Snapdragon processors power premium products from the world’s biggest brands across smartphones, PCs, extended reality glasses, gaming devices, wearables, and connected cars.

Manchester United brings on new record shirt sponsorship

Premier League club Manchester United have announced the “biggest shirt sponsorship deal in world football” with an almost $75M-a-year agreement with Snapdragon, according to Richard Fay of the MANCHESTER EVENING STANDARD. Fay noted the deal not “only highlights the huge commercial value of United as a brand,” but it also has to “bring into question whether the Glazers will really sell when it remains so profitable for them.”

In the years ahead, United stand to “make even more money from the Champions League restructure,” and due to the new rules favoring historically successful clubs, there will be an “even lower threshold for them to qualify.” Throw into the equation the rise of the Saudi Pro League and how teams from the Middle East “might look to offer huge sums for lucrative friendlies or even push for an intercontinental tournament pitting them against the world elite,” and it is “quite easy to see why the Glazers might even end up asking for more money”
